CS-Type Chip Delay Line Socket
Features
- The CS-type is a temporary fixed socket for Chip-type components. The contact pitch matches ELMEC's LTCC-type CDKD- and CDKF-series component families. For the contacts, a specially-designed contact spring is utilized which allows 15GHz frequency band width, 10ps Inherent Delay Time and excellent electrical characteristics.
- In order to attach this socket to the PCB, you can simply attach the GND Land provided for soldering to the side terminals. The Loading Land for CDKD/CDKF cannot be processed or modified.
- Accordingly, when testing we determined the constant by changing out the parts using the socket. Fort production we removed the socket leaving the pattern unchanged.
- Regarding the angle required to attach the fittings, the recommended Land Pattern and usage indicate, depending on the PCB, it can be rotated 90°and attached to the board.
- Soon, we will be introducing a socket for the CDM-type series.
- Based on your requirements, we can design and make available similar sockets to match other manufacturers' components. Please feel free to inquire. (Only for 0.05inch and above terminal pitch.) Our socket can also be used as a high-frequency probe adaptor on the production line.

A use except the LTCC Chip Delay Line temporary fixed
This socket can also be used as a chip-type component test adaptor. This socket has been produced to the same size as our own LTCC Chip-type Delay Lines. If your parts have the same terminal pad and pitch, you can also test with other manufacturers’ components. If you prefer, we can also design and make available sockets to work with other manufacturers’ components (Only for 0.05inch and above terminal pitch). Our socket can also be used as a high-frequency probe adaptor on the production line.
It can also be used as an automatic test adaptor if you are using a suction attachment and removal machine, without using the nut and screw.
